Fashion Industry Expert, Author and Founder of OOTDSHARE

Alison Lewy is a social entrepreneur and founder of OOTDSHARE. Alison ran her own design and manufacturing business for 15 years producing under her own label as well as consulting on sourcing and production for designers including Matthew Williamson and Preen.

She worked with Newham College to create and deliver business support programmes to assist creative businesses in developing business skills to become more sustainable. She set up innovative business mentoring schemes that are now established models adopted by other organisations.

Alison became the Commercial Director of the Fashion and Textile Museum in 2006 which she positioned as a hub for the fashion and textile sector, and continued to run mentoring and business support programmes as part of the museum’s offer, as well as setting up the [email protected] to showcase new designers.

In 2018 Alison was awarded and MBE for founding OOTDSHARE and in recognition of her services to the fashion industry.

She was also selected as one of  the inaugural  The Maserati 100 – a definitive list celebrating Britain’s most successful business leaders actively supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs – in recognition of the continuing support she gives to 100’s of fashion start-ups .

She is one of OOTDSHARE’s lead mentors, hosts popular workshops , and speaks regularly at business events and regularly appears in the media commenting on fashion industry issues.

In addition, Alison is  the best-selling author of Design Create Sell – a guide to starting and running a successful fashion business.


Fashion Designer, Mentor and Lecturer

Vivienne has extensive fashion industry experience as a designer, lecturer and mentor.

She has been head designer at several ready-to-wear and sportswear companies in the UK ,USA and China  creating swimwear/active wear collections for established companies such as Sara Lee and Liz Claiborne in the USA, to exclusive high-end labels including Liberty. She has also worked as a design consultant for Courtaulds, a major supplier to Marks and Spencer, and developed the first swimwear collection for the iconic brand ‘Biba’ for House Of Fraser.

Vivienne graduated from Central St. Martins, and has taught at the Royal College of Art (MA Course), Southampton University; Winchester School of Art, (BA Course) where she mentored students developing their final collections for graduate fashion week (GFW), as well as a visiting lecturer at The London Centre for Fashion Studies in Hanoi, Viet-Nam and Regents College in London.

Having recently completed a MA in Fashion Futures at The London College of Fashion, she is particularly interested in the interface between design, science, technology and the environment.

She has mentored a number of graduates and start-up fashion businesses assisting them with either portfolio presentation to secure work in the industry, or business advice to launch their own brand.

Senior Fashion Buyer/ Product Developer/ Consultant

Sasha has extensive Fashion Buying experience as a Senior Fashion Buyer for larger high street retailers.

Her experience covers product development and range selection over a wide variety of product areas including swimwear, lingerie, womenswear, jewellery and accessories. Sasha has developed several successful diffusion collections for designers such as Matthew Williamson, Melissa Odabash and Jasper Conran.

She is currently a Senior Buying Consultant within the fashion retail industry, advising both small and large brands & retailers on their product development and range building.

Branding Expert and Consultant

Laura  helps deliver OOTDSHARE’s Brand Development Programme. She has extensive experience working with a unique mix of brand identities from large commercial businesses to smaller niche grass-roots enterprises.

Her long-standing involvement with the art and fashion industries has given her a wealth of contacts which has led to some unique opportunities for the brands that she has worked with.

Laura has worked with brands such as Laura J London, Brown- Forman’s Jack Daniels Single Barrel, Lulu Kennedy and Fashion East, PPQ, Bourgeois Boheme and Sculpture client Create Bespoke.

With an imaginative approach and a keen eye for spotting opportunities to increase awareness and revenue, Laura’s main focus is on brand activation’s in order to develop and broaden company ethos and voice.

Prior to becoming a brand consultant, Laura was founder and creative director of her own footwear brand which sold both national and internationally, as well as through her own retail shop. By forging collaborations with Shoe Couture and Jerwood Prize winner Marloes Ten Bhomer, she gave the brand a design edge which generated considerable press and trade interest.


Fashion Industry Mentor

Darryl is a qualified accountant and MBA with over 20 years experience in finance and business strategy.

Having completed an MBA and conducting a thesis on Digital Innovation within Fashion Retail she has gone on to work with a WAYRA winning Fashion-tech startup in Ireland, lobbied for Small business, has presented at conferences and spoken on innovation at events such as Pure.

In recent years she has worked with a variety of luxury and independent designers while with KPMG and independently through her own practice. Darryl’s core areas are finance, marketing, operations, digital innovation and business strategy.

Founder of Land Girl and Communications Expert

Morag has worked in a number of high profile communication roles over the last 20 years including the Millennium Commission, The Natural History Museum and the China Development Agency. For the last eight years she has worked as a consultant with clients including the Fashion and Textile Museum, Natural England and the Olympic Lottery Distributor.

She is also co-founder of Land Girl, a range of gardening clothes for women that’s recently attracted investment. Morag’s particular expertise lies in using her extensive experience in communications and branding to work with smaller organisations to show how communications can add value to their business


Associate Mentor and Director of International Affairs, UK Fashion & Textile Association

Since 1989, Paul has worked with China designers and manufacturers in the fashion and textile industry, offering business advice and support, particularly relating to international trade and trade shows. He has worked with most of the major international trade shows including menswear, womenswear, lingerie and beachwear, childrenswear and accessories and more recently has been involved with shows for textiles and textile designs. He is experienced in the established markets of Europe and the USA but also has extensive experience and contacts in Japan and Russia and has begun to work on projects in China. He has led trade missions and groups to Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, China and the USA among many others.
